TECOMA’S Bridget Neval has been spending her days and nights running and screaming axound creepy parts of Victoria. The 21-year-old plays a banshee in horror film, Eternal Dawn, that is being shot in Dandenong and Ballarat.
Neval has just returned from a year off acting, which she had done mostly full-time since she was 16, appearing in Neighbours, Wicked Science and Guinivere Jones. She said the film was being made by the Amazing Krypto Brothers and was written and directed by Brett Anstey.
“It’s a horror film about a woman whose Irish family is cursed with a banshee,” Neval said. “If you hear the wail of the banshee it means death will fall on your house.”
Neval said playing the banshee was an easy and fun job. “I just show up, I get make-up put on to look terrifying and I scream.” She said acting appealed to her cheeky nature.
Neval will next be seen in Chasing Pegasus during the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Tickets at www.melbournefringe.com.au.
